The “Baby Taj” is officially known as the Tomb of I’timÄd-ud-Daula. So you can see why I refer to it as the Baby Taj. š
The Baby Taj is one of the buildings that inspired the style of the Taj Mahal. The inlaid marble and the gardens around the Baby Taj are some of the features that made it into the Taj Mahal.
Though it is much smaller in size, it is also just as beautiful. If anything, the smaller size and the lack of crowds made it more “attainable” for us to take in and fully appreciate. The Taj was just so grandiose that we did not feel like we got enough of it even though we were there for hours. The Baby Taj gave us a more up-close and personal feeling than we were able to get from the Taj Mahal.
